These suckers don’t last long in our house [probably because I eat them all – guilty!]
Day two on whole30 and I’m feeling good. A little sluggish and the normal craving for all the things I can not have, but it’s overall good. Transparency here — I got off track the past few weeks, with my workouts and meals. Sometimes do you ever get in a funk and just can’t seem to get out of it. That’s one of the main reasons I’m tackling the Whole30 for the second time. It’s challenging like any lifestyle change is but I know I’m doing my body good by “de-funking” my system. I’m back on track now and it feels amazing. See even I fall off – one of my goals is to be completely transparent with all of my followers, it’s rare I see public figures or social stars do this. I’m just like you, I have beautiful flaws and I’m here to show you that you can love them.
Me and a couple girlfriends took a Hot Flow class today a co-worker of mine was leading. Let me tell you. It kicked me in the ass [#transparency]. I’m a Hot Yoga – Bikram lover/teacher and It’s so humbling when you go into a different sequenced class. But I loved every minute of it. Even if I did go into childs pose like 50x during it. Hot Asana is such a beautiful studio, and if you are ever in the springs area and/or live here – go check it out. I love Chelsea’s warm flow and hot flow, along with Essie’s warm flow. They have amazing speciality classes on the weekends like Athletic Recovery which we all took a couple weeks back & my hips loved it [& hips don’t lie].
Anyways on to this amazing treat! I have to warn you that you will wan’t to eat everyone of these up. I have to portion them out sometimes in bags so I don’t go HAM on them.
3 tbsp 100% cacao powder
6 tbsp coconut oil
4 tbsp coconut butter
1/2 cup almond butter
Place mini cupcake liners in a mini cupcake pan.
Melt coconut oil & coconut butter together in small bowl. Once completely melted mix in cacao powder completely & pour mix into each cup just coating the bottom.
Place in freezer for 10 mins or until hardened.
Drop 1 tsp of almond butter into each cup on top of bottom chocolate, place in freezer for 10 mins.
Finally, pour remaining cacao mix on top of almond butter to coat the top & place in freezer for 20 mins.
